Test Background β2-glycoprotein 1 is a co-factor for anticardiolipin antibodies. Anti-β2-glycoprotein antibodies are seen in antiphospholipid syndrome and can be related to the development of arterial and venous thromboses, venous thromboembolism, thrombocytopenia and fetal loss.
Clinical Indications Assessment and diagnosis of: vascular thrombosis and/or recurrent fetal loss thrombocytopenia heart valve disease nephropathy neurological disease.
