Anti-thyroglobulin antibodies


Test Background
Up to 20 % of the population has auto-antibodies to thyroglobulin. They may interfere in measurement of thyroglobulin and are therefore measured at the same time to aid in interpretation of results.


Clinical Indications
Tested with thyroglobulin to aid in interpretation of results for monitoring of thyroid cancers.

0-40 IU/L


Sample Required
SST (gold top), serum (red top) or heparin (green top)


Sample Collection

Stable at 2-8oC for 24 hours. Please freeze pending dispatch for analysis.

Send to lab frozen.
